About Me
Who am I?
I am Laura Harrison, a local tailoring, dressmaking and bespoke alterations service, based in Shepperton, TW17. I have happy clients from all over the local area; Shepperton, Walton, Molesey, Sunbury, Chertsey, Laleham, Ashford, Weybridge and even much further afield. Clients find me by word of mouth and my many Google recommendations.
I offer a friendly and personal service in a comfortable, relaxed environment.
What services do I offer?
I have over 40 years experience in alterations of wedding, prom and evening dresses. I and am able to work with a great range of fabrics using specialist machinery (sequins, lace, beading, crystals etc).
I also offer tailoring of ladies suits.
In addition, I now offer a wedding day personal service, styling and dressing the bride to make her look her absolute best on her important day (By request. Conditions apply).
I work by appointment only from a private studio in Shepperton, just off the high street. Please call or email to arrange a time.

I fell in love with my dream dress, but it was only available in size 6. Laura had to make it fit size 16!!
And what a transformation. She totally re-made the back, adding panels of material which complemented and enhanced the design. The back was also re- designed by taking all the buttons off and installing a corseted lace up back, each panel with its own lace loop hole.
Most was hand sewn and the attention to detail was second to none! I would not hesitate to take any garment to Laura and let her tell you how she will make your clothes more beautiful!

Our Pricing
Wedding Dress Alterations prices
Every dress is different, and I need to see it to be able to give you an accurate quote. The following are for guidance only:
Hem shortening £80-200
Taking in/out bodice £60-180
Strap adjustments £20-£60
Bustle for train £50-£150
zip replacement/corset, back £120-£300
Sleeve additions £80-£250
Full bridal alterations package £250-£650+
I charge a £50 fee for the initial consultation of 30 minutes which will be offset against your alteration cost.
Please allow 3-6 months before your wedding day if possible. Last minute jobs will incur extra costs. When you come for your fittings, bring shoes and underwear/shapewear which you intend to wear on the day.
I ask for a 50% down payment of your wedding dress alteration cost after your first consultation. The remainder is payable on collection of the completed garment.
Wedding Day Dressing/Styling Service
I offer a set two hour style and dressing service on your wedding day (up to a 50 mile radius from Shepperton). Service will include dressing the bride, any last minute fixes and ensuring perfect styling. (Steaming/pressing is not included. Hair and makeup not included). A guide price for this is £250 plus mileage.
Additional costs if you wish to include bridesmaids and mother of the bride.
